Hanlyn Davies lives and works in New Haven, Connecticut.  Born in Gorseinon, Wales, He attended Swansea College of Art, and later earned his MFA from the Yale School of Art.  His work has been widely exhibited in the United States, Europe, and Asia and it is represented in numerous public and private collections.  Davies is the recipient of a 2016 Pollack-Krasner Foundation Grant, and he has also received two Artist’s Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, along with other awards from the Massachusetts Arts Foundation, The Brandywine Offset Institute in Philadelphia, and a Yaddo Colony Fellowship.  In 2000 he was granted an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Wales Swansea, and in 2004 a Distinguished Teaching Award at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he chaired the Art Department for ten years.
